TIP; USING A PEEL WILL ENHANCE YOUR COMPLEXION

One of my favorite enzyme peels is from Aloette, it gives you results without the harsh ingredients, most of their ingredients are natural.  

1. USING A PEEL CAN KEEP YOUR SKIN SMOOTH

Jordyn Taylor.. I used pink bronze, swiss chocolate, sketch, and carbon on her eyes. It wasn't hard doing her make-up because she was so pretty, anything would have looked good.

How to keep your nails from chipping

first of all...blogspot is not allowing me to post pics up right now! (frustrated) anyway, :)

1. MAKE SURE YOUR NAILS ARE SUPER CLEAN...your nails have natural oils which make your nail polish chip, to clean your nail go over your nails with nail polish remover even if you dont have any polish on.

2. APPLY A BASE COAT... my favorite is from OPI called start to finish, this helps your nail polish stick to your nails.

3. KEEP IT AT 3-4 THIN COATS... If the polish it too thick it will take too long to dry and will most likely chip due to the thickness.

4. DONT FORGET THE TIP... most people forget to polish the tip of the nail, getting the tip will help cut down on nail chipping.

5. APPLY A TOP COAT... don't forget to apply a clear top coat. This will add shine and act as a shield.

6. KEEP TOP COAT CLOSE BY... applying the top coat every other day will help keep your nails manicured longer.

TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY! Zosimo from Vimby called me and asked if I could do Hair and Make-up for 2 up and coming myspace music artists, Mateo and Jordyn Taylor who were both discovered by Tom from Myspace and were doing a shoot for Toyota/Vimby and Myspace Music. Everyone there was so great to work with, accessories from my girl M.E. and Justine did an amazing job of styling for what she had to work with. I have a few behind the scenes pictures that I will post a little later.

Kevyn Aucoin is by far my favorite makeup artist. He was a makeup artist for the stars, He worked for magazines like, Harpers Bazaar , Rolling Stones, Vogue and many more. He was famous for transforming celebrities into Hollywood Legends. Below are a few pictures of his work.

Colour Ready

Colour Ready launches today at your local MAC counters. A couple of the products are re-launches but I think its good to relaunch a color b/c it gives you new ideas on how to use it, a lot of the times I forget I have colors and remember when it gets relaunched.  Below are a couple pictures of the the new line.

These models are fully naked and painted. Pay attention to the detail, Its amazing! 

GOLD WITH BROWN TUTORIAL

Eye shadows used: MAC shadows

top right to left: Goldmine, Carbon

bottom right to left: Brun, Retrospeck

BASE: Rubenesque I used this as the base because it has a tint of gold. 

 STEP 1:

Place rubenesque base all over your eyelid

Step 2: Place Glodmine on the bottom half of your eyelid directly on top of the base.

Step 3: Apply Retrospeck on your highlight, right below your brown line

Step 4 With a 224 brush (blending brush) apply brun on the outter corner of your eye and blend towards the middle. 
Step 5 With a 226 brush or 217 brush apply carbon to the outter corner of your crease. This will deepen up your shadow w/out looking too much. 

Step 6: apply Goldmine right below your lower lash line. You can use a 217 brush.

 
Step 7: Then apply Teddy eyeliner all the way around your eye.

Step 8: curl and apply masacra or glue on your lashes.
